Initial testing has found that in stock form the 3.8l only produces as little as 133 Wheel Horse Power (WHP) on stock wheels/tires and gears and as little as 108-123whp on up rated 35" tires. With the addition of  a RIPP Supercharger and running through stock exhaust manifolds, cats and exhaust, the3.8l produces 240-/+ Rear Wheel HP (WHP) on stock wheels/tires and gears at 8psi. More over an impressive 240+whp and 260+lb/ft of torque on commonly used 35" wheels and tires. (HP levels vary depending on tire and gear combination as rotational mass comes into play, this effects both Naturally Aspirated (NA) and Forced Induction (FI) total output).

When tested on our in house Dyno Dynamics Dyno we found the power curve to be very linear, with the power curve found in a usable RPM range, especially from low RPM. When used in 4W-low the power is instantly available and completely manageable. Daily Driving an RIPP powered Wrangler is like driving a V8 powered vehicle without the poor gas mileage and acceleration is never a problem. Getting up to highway speed in no longer a task. We initially tested with two RIPP Powered Wrangler’s; our in house 2007 Wrangler X Unlimited with over 60k of supercharged-miles on 37" tires and 5.13 gearing, it still runs like a champ.

I just wanted to follow up with you on my supercharger kit. I'm in love!
My Jeep finally has the power I feel it should have had from the factory. The kit makes a nice difference.
Everything was well packaged and the assembly was an absolute breeze. Total install time for me was around 4 hours.
This is an extremely well packaged kit. You guys should be proud!

Promised and Delivered!! Straight forward install and results are as expected.  My local Jeep service manager assisted with the install and is very impressed with the fit and function.  Many thanks to the crew at RIPP for providing such a well designed project and for answering a few questions as we went along -- on the weekend I should add.  Great customer service.  The next Moab trip (May) will be epic!  Thanks again RIPP!!!

I have logged over 2K miles since the install in Sept. I have changed the SC oil too. In addition, I have swapped in my winter tires (BFG KO's) and changed my driving habit each day (before the install I was driving 75 country miles a day with little traffic - since the install I drive 40 miles a day with moderate-heavy traffic). With my new commute I tend to drive with O/D off.

Since the last s/w upgrade I have the following to report:
- No error codes
- Driving from a stop with moderate-heavy acceleration is no issue
- Gas mileage is about the same with my changed commute ... I think it may be higher since my previous commute I ave 14-15 mpg and that was a nice country ride each day.
- I took it to my Jeep dealer whom I have a good relationship and they are confident it will pass PA inspection, based on their preliminary code check (which there were none). FYI - The guys loved it at the dealership.

- Smiles there every time I drive it.

I was debating awhile of getting the RIPP super charger.  I Have a 2010 JK Unlimited 10K miles, 35's, 5.13 gears, automatic, full plating underneath, rock sliders and ARB front and rear bumpers & a winch. To say the least my jeep was weighted down. I live in Phx and love to go up to Prescott & Flagstaff to hike and wheel. Driving that distance stock..was a painful with all the hills and elevation gain. So, I decided to drop the 5K and go for it. WOW..Hands down best purchase for my JK.. Install was done in a half day and it started right up with no codes.  The next day I headed up to Prescott to do some mtn biking... No longer did I fear the hills and have to stay confined to the right lane. There is nothing like the feeling of passing cars on an uphill in my jeep. As for gas mileage I am easily averaging 4+ mpg. I could prob do better..but keeping my foot off the pedal is hard. My Jeep is fun to drive again. Anyone in Phoenix AZ area thinking about one feel free to contact me.
