Whether you are cruising down the highway or climbing over boulders, or skinny peddling your way out of a mud hole having an effective cooling system critical.  RIPP is proud to produce for you these performance thermostats, specifically designed for the 2007-2011 Jeep Wrangler JK.  RIPP thermostats increase cooling efficiency by significantly decreasing high engine temperatures.  The RIPP thermostat will open at a lower temperature of 180°F compared to standard 210°F thermostats.  This allows coolant to flow through the engine sooner, reducing and maintaining cooler temperatures in the engine.

  • Works with RIPP Supercharger tuning or stock
  • Works with or without supercharger

Pro Tips:

Engine Cooling Service: We recommend replacing the thermostat, flushing and refill the cooling system every 45,000 miles or every 4 years. This helps to remove any accumulated debris, contaminants, and old coolant, ensuring the proper functioning of the cooling system. Along with your coolant system service, check coolant expansion tanks, hoses and fittings.

Tuning: Installing the RIPP low temp thermostat is a very effective way to lower engine temperatures. Although tuning is not necessary, with the lower temperature thermostat installed, you can take advantage of the cooler engine conditions to fine-tune fuel and timing parameters. This can result in increased horsepower and torque.

Coolant Mixture: The coolant-to-water mixture in an engine's cooling system plays a crucial role in regulating the engine's operating temperature. The mixture typically consists of coolant and water. The standard recommended mixture is 50:50 mix. However in race application or hot environment it common to adjust the ratio as deemed necessary. A higher water content enhances the thermal conductivity of the mixture, improving its ability to transfer heat away from the engine components. This can be beneficial in a race application where the engine is subjected to high loads and temperatures. Always consult a professional as every vehicle will have it's own variables.
